Please inquire when booking with us so that we can make the relevant activity arrangements for you. All activities are subject to availability; all costs are subject to change. Guests need to arrange their own transport to and from activities. Duiker Game Lodge does not do transfers.

Duiker Game Lodge
The Duiker Game Lodge Reserve is 1600 hectares with plentiful plains game.
We offer daily game drives on the property with either a coffee stop in the morning or sun-downers in the evening. Guided bush walks can also be arranged in advance and subject to availability.
We have a large variety of plains species on our property including Giraffe, Sable, Kudu, Zebra, Nyala, Wildebeest, Impala and Reedbuck.
Duiker Lodge adds Warthog, Ostrich, Jackal, Mongoose, Porcupine, Aardvark and Genet into the mix for more interesting viewing. Guests with a keen eye may even spot the elusive Leopard, Aardvark and Hyena .
Dung beetles, Vultures, Shrews, Weaver Birds, Termites and an abundance of indigenous flora ensure a healthy ecosystem on our Reserve.
Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park
(25km from Duiker Game Lodge)
Day trips to Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park which is the oldest proclaimed game reserve in Africa. The Park has amazing wildlife including the Big 5 and it is well known for its incredible history from the land being used as King Shaka’s former private hunting grounds to the conservation efforts which saved the Southern White Rhino from extinction.
One can self-drive through the Park or book a guided tour. There are several picnic sites with ablutions and braai facilities situated throughout the Park.

Pay the entrance fee at the gate and then drive around in your own vehicle.
OPTION 2 - Guided Tour
Pay at Duiker Game Lodge for the guided tour and pay the entrance fee at Memorial Gate.

Mkuze Game Reserve
(40km from Duiker Game Lodge)
Day trips to the Big 5, Mkhuze Game Reserve, which is part of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site. These extensive wetlands host a large number of hippo and crocodile. Also, world renowned for its incredible variety of bird species, boasting over 420 species on their bird list. Mkhuze Game Reserve also has several recently upgraded hides ideal for game viewing and bird watching.
One can self-drive through the Reserve or book a guided tour. There is a picnic site with ablutions and braai facilities at Nsumo Pan.
Lake Jozini / Tiger Fishing
(60km from Duiker Game Lodge)
Day trips to Jozini Lake for “catch and release” Tiger Fishing and game viewing. Lake Jozini hosts an incredible population of Tiger Fish which are a hard-striking game fish that put up a good fight, perfect for adrenaline junkies! One can also view game from the boat, an exciting waters’ edge perspective, great for bird watching and sightings of crocodile, hippo, elephants and other general game.

Manyoni Private Game Reserve

The magnificent 23000ha Manyoni Private Game Reserve, home to the Big 5, cheetah, hyena, wild dog, along with many types of herbivores and smaller animals, including more than 400 bird species.
The majestic Ubombo Mountains form a breath-taking backdrop, coupled with the Msunduzi River which winds its way through the southern portion with its giant Sycamore Figs and Fever Trees, the Reserve is one of the most picturesque in the area.

St Lucia Hippo and Croc Boat Cruise

Discover and observe Hippos, Nile Crocodiles, and hundreds of bird species on the Hippo & Croc Boat Cruise in St Lucia. This 2-hour boat cruise safari gets you close up to the residents of the estuary.

Elephant Interaction

Meet the majestic Rambo and Rachel – habituated elephants who were rescued after their herd was culled. Experience the thrill and privilege of getting up close to these elephants and be educated about the plight of the mighty African Elephant.
Big Cat Conservation Project

Take a tour of the Cat conservation projects and learn more about South Africa’s wild cats (cheetah, caracal, serval etc.) You can view and photograph these incredible animals during one of their feeding times while an experienced guide gives you an informative talk.
